Advocacy: Chamber is the collective voice for businesses. We work on your business while you work IN your business. Chamber works ON supporting issues and programs that help support your business and also fights against issues that could harm your business.
Continually Building a Better Community: Your Member investment supports the work that the Chamber does in the community that makes our community a better place to live, work and play (quality of life) and a stronger more viable place for your businesses to be prosperous. The area’s economic well-being is directly related to the caliber of work that is done by the Chamber. That is why our Chamber has a major impact on business, income, and future growth of the area. The Chamber is a dynamic, living process because its people work for the betterment of our community as well as their businesses. In a few words, it builds our market, helping to assure greater profits for our businesses and industries, more jobs for people and the additional economic wherewithal required to support a growing county. There are two primary functions of a Chamber of Commerce: (1) it acts as the spokesman for the business and professional community and translates into action the group thinking of its members, and (2) it renders specific services of a type that can be most effectively rendered by a community organization both to its members and to the community as a whole. It must be the community’s department of progress.
